Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking a Server for our City Cruises Chicago vessel. You will greet guests, serve food and drinks, and ensure a hospitable onboard experience while maintaining safety and cleanliness across dining areas.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and major holidays, with the ability to lift and move dining furniture as needed. Experience in high-volume dining and proficiency with POS systems (TOAST) are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year experience in high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Must be able to stand and work without sitting for long periods.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and move furnishings.
• Comfort with working nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospitality to guests and coworkers per RESPECT system.
• Greet guests and serve food and beverages promptly.
• Take orders accurately and enter into the POS system (TOAST).
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of dining areas and service stations.
• Assist with seating guests and orchestrating smooth service onboard.
• Handle payments for onboard purchases and provide menu information.
• Work on a rotating schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
