Job summary

Cragun's Resort on Gull Lake seeks a friendly and experienced Event Captain to lead our service staff aboard our 65-foot, two-story cruise boat. This role focuses on creating memorable moments for guests in a fun, lively environment.

As Event Captain you will coordinate weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings, serving as the go-to contact for clients and vendors, and ensuring timelines and service standards are met with flair. Shifts include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in hospitality, catering, or event service.
• Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills shine in a fast-paced environment.
• Calm and professional under pressure.
• Eye for detail with guest-first mindset.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food safety and alcohol service certifications are advantageous and may be supported.

Responsibilities

• Lead and energize service staff during setup, service, and breakdown.
• Be the primary point of contact for clients and vendors.
• Translate event timelines and floor plans into seamless service.
• Oversee food and beverage service with quality presentations.
• Address challenges professionally and provide post-event feedback to management.
