Job summary

Y-Axis is seeking an experienced Event Captain to lead our service staff aboard a 65-foot cruise boat on Gull Lake. You will coordinate weddings, corporate events, and private gatherings, ensuring flawless execution and memorable guest experiences.

You’ll be the on-site maestro, guiding teams, liaising with clients and vendors, and upholding high standards of service, safety, and presentation in a lively hospitality setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in hospitality, catering, or event service.
• Strong leadership and communication skills essential for fast-paced environments.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; certifications in food safety/alcohol service are a plus.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in hospitality, catering, or event service—leadership experience is a plus!
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills that shine in a fast-paced environment.
• A calm and professional demeanor, even under pressure.
• An eagle-eyed attention to detail and a commitment to putting guests first.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays—is your schedule ready for excitement?
• Food safety and alcohol service certifications are advantageous, but we’re happy to support you in obtaining them!
