Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group is seeking a waiter to support dining operations aboard an international cruise ship. The role covers service in main dining rooms, Windjammer, and specialty restaurants, delivering courteous, professional guest experiences.

You will lead junior staff where applicable, handle menu and wine recommendations, and ensure accurate order handling and presentation. The position requires flexibility to work across venues and participate in ship activities.

Qualifications

• Learn and use appropriate food and wine terminology.
• Provide on-the-job leadership to Assistants to strengthen performance.
• Set and arrange tables per standards.
• Greet and guide guests to seating and present menus.
• Answer questions about menu and wine selections.
• Enter orders in the POS system and ensure accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of assigned station.
• Follow ServSafe responsible service of alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Learn and use food and wine terminology and pronunciation.
• Lead and guide Assistants to improve performance.
• Set tables with linen, silverware, and china.
• Greet guests and seat them as applicable.
• Present menus and suggest courses and wines.
• Relay orders to galley and serve courses from galley or stations.
• Ensure quality and garnish presentations before serving.
• Record orders in POS system and maintain station cleanliness.
• Observe guests to anticipate needs and fulfill requests.
• Participate in dining room activities and itineraries.
• Rotate service across Windjammer, Room Service, and venues.
• Attend meetings, training, and other duties as required.
• Comply with on-board safety and service standards.
