Job summary

Hornblower Group in Boston is seeking a Buffet Attendant to maintain buffet, run food from galley, and assist in galley cleaning aboard a Coast Guard-inspected vessel. You will provide hospitality and ensure safety and cleanliness for guests.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts; prior kitchen or food-service experience is preferred; ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform administrative tasks using Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum prior kitchen or food-service experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and organizational abilities required.
• Must be able to lift and move heavy items and work on a moving vessel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain buffet area and replenish items.
• Run food from galley to buffet areas.
• Inspect and ensure sanitary food-handling practices.
• Receive and organize hot line orders; portion and garnish food.
• Carry trays to service locations during meals.
• Read and follow the ticketing system to deliver trays.
