Job summary

RailPros is seeking a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to oversee on-track safety, protect job sites, and coordinate with train dispatchers. The role requires vigilant supervision of work groups, radio communications, and adherence to safety rules across live tracks and controlled areas.

You will prepare forms, maintain schedules, and support an inclusive, safety-focused workplace. Travel across multiple states is required, with per diems and mileage reimbursement as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years in Maintenance in Way (MOW) and/or TY&E.
• On-Track Worker qualification/Rule knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide required jobsite protection per rules and dispatch communications.
• Perform daily job briefings with all personnel on site.
• Submit electronic forms (job set-up, daily reports, invoices).
• Place signs, derail, and locking devices as needed.
• Communicate with RWIC supervisors and managers about schedules and assignments.
• Participate in routine safety classes and qualifications training.
