Job summary

RailPros seeks a Roadway Worker in Charge (RWIC) to oversee on-site roadway protection around live railroad tracks. You will coordinate job site activities, communicate with train dispatchers, and enforce On Track Safety in controlled and non-controlled areas.

You must complete job briefings, manage safety requirements, and document daily forms and reports. This role requires physical capability, travel across many states, and strong radio and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 2 years in track and/or construction experience.
• CSX FCI On Track Worker and Operating Rules certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide required jobsite protection per rules and radio communication with dispatchers.
• Maintain daily job briefings and ensure safety compliance on site.
• Prepare and submit electronic forms and reports (flagging, daily work reports, invoices).
• Handle signs, derail equipment and locking devices as needed.
• Maintain professional communication and participate in safety classes.
