Job summary

Healing Partners is seeking a Nurse Practitioner specialized in wound care to travel between Skilled Nursing Facilities and provide direct patient care. You will evaluate resident health, treat wound-related conditions, and collaborate with physicians and a medical director.

The role requires current RN licensure, an active APRN license, and a Master’s in Nursing. Expect a Monday–Friday day schedule with generous benefits and travel between local facilities.

Qualifications

• Proof of Covid vaccination.
• Must be licensed as a registered nurse in the state.
• Current Active, unrestricted state APRN license or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• Successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
• Current approval by the Board of Nursing to perform medical acts.
• Master’s degree of Nursing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care.
• Daily travel to various facilities. Regions can vary based on scheduling needs.
• Examine and treat chronic and acute wound-related illnesses and injuries.
• Interpretation of diagnostic tests and follow-up recommendations.
• Refer to and update physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside wound care procedures.
• Work with the medical director in care and treatment of residents and staff.
• Debridement of wounds by various methods where appropriate.
• Application and management of topical wound care and wound management products.
• Educate patients and Primary Care Physicians on wound management practices.
