Job summary

Healing Partners is seeking a Nurse Practitioner with wound care expertise to lead clinical care at long-term care facilities. You will travel regionally to supervise resident health care, assess wounds, and coordinate treatment with physicians and the medical director.

The role requires an NP with active RN/APRN licensure and a master’s in nursing. Offering a day schedule with on-road duties and competitive compensation for travel

Qualifications

• Covid vaccination proof.
• Active RN license in the state.
• APRN license active/unrestricted or ability to obtain before hire.
• Completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
• Board of Nursing approval to perform medical acts.
• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and evaluate resident and employee health care in long-term care.
• Daily travel to various facilities as scheduling requires.
• Examine and treat chronic and acute wound-related illnesses and injuries.
• Interpret diagnostic tests and recommend appropriate follow-up.
• Refer to and update physicians, write prescriptions, and perform bedside wound care procedures.
• Work with the medical director in care and treatment of residents and staff.
• Debridement of wounds by safe methods as needed.
• Apply and manage topical wound care products and related wound management items.
• Guide related services to improve wound healing outcomes.
• Educate patients and primary care physicians on wound management practices.
