Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) is seeking a Learning and Development Specialist to design, implement, and evaluate training programs focused on onboarding, OJT, and career progression for a manufacturing workforce in Mentor, OH.

You will collaborate with production leadership and SMEs to build competency-based learning and ensure readiness across shifts. The role emphasizes documentation, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of training initiatives, with accountability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years’ related manufacturing training experience.
• Experience coordinating on-the-job training in a manufacturing environment.
• 2–3 years designing and evaluating training for adults.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with multiple stakeholders.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong project management and organizational abilities; multitask effectively.
• Read/write/speak English; communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Willing to support employees on all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety protocols and company policies.
• Create, coordinate, and support structured OJT programs with production leaders, SMEs, and trainers.
• Design, develop, and deliver training for onboarding, OJT, leadership, and technical skills.
• Partner with managers to assess training needs and develop aligned plans.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
• Maintain training records and ensure compliance with FAA Part 145 and other standards.
• Monitor industry trends to enhance learning initiatives.
• Support employee development, career progression, and succession planning.
• Administer and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS) and training data.
