Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) in Mentor, OH seeks an Learning and Development Specialist to design, implement, and evaluate training programs tailored to production roles.

You will lead OJT initiatives that onboard and qualify staff, partnering with production leaders and SMEs to map training paths and competency criteria. You will monitor program effectiveness using KPI data, keep accurate records, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and FAA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years in a related role within manufacturing or production.
• Experience designing, coordinating, and evaluating on-the-job training in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience developing structured OJT programs, competency verification, and training documentation.

Responsibilities

• Create, coordinate, and support structured OJT programs with production leaders and SMEs.
• Design, develop, and deliver training addressing onboarding, leadership, technical, and professional development.
• Assess training needs and gaps; align plans with departmental goals and workforce development.
• Evaluate training effectiveness via feedback, surveys, and metrics and improve curricula.
• Maintain training records and comply with FAA Part 145 and audit requirements where applicable.
• Administer and optimize the Learning Management System (LMS) for compliance and development.
• Support employee career progression and succession planning through available opportunities.
