Job summary

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., seeks a Substance Abuse Counselor or LCAS to provide on-site prevention and counseling services at a residential youth program in Cherokee, NC.

This contract, part-time role (up to 20 hours/week) supports students aged 16–24 with individual and group counseling, prevention education, relapse prevention, and collaborative care in a HIPAA-compliant environment. On-site only, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with occasional evenings.

Qualifications

• Active NC licensure in substance abuse counseling (LCAS or related).
• Minimum 1 year of counseling or behavioral health experience with youth.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site individual and group substance abuse counseling.
• Develop and facilitate prevention and education programming.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with residential staff to support student wellness.
• Deliver crisis intervention and relapse prevention as needed.
