Job summary

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor or CSAC or LADC to provide on-site prevention and counseling at a federally supported residential youth program in Washington, DC 20032.

The role involves direct clinical services to students within a structured, community-based setting, in a contract position with full-time or part-time availability.

Qualifications

• Active Substance Abuse Counseling certification (CSAC or LADC) in DC is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience providing substance abuse or behavioral health services to adolescents or young adults.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group substance abuse counseling services.
• Develop and facilitate alcohol, drug, and tobacco prevention and education programming.
• Engage with students in residential and common areas (dormitories, recreation areas, dining facilities, counseling spaces).
• Collaborate with program leadership and interdisciplinary staff.
• Support student development, healthy coping skills, decision-making, and relapse prevention.
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed.
• Develop individualized case management plans to improve student retention and wellness.
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Uphold HIPAA and all confidentiality standards.
