Job summary

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., seeks a Part-time Substance Abuse Counselor or LCAS to provide on-site counseling within a federally supported residential youth program in Franklin, North Carolina. The role supports youths ages 16–24, with a mission to promote employment readiness and independent living.

The position is contract-based with part-time availability up to 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, on-site in Franklin, NC.

Qualifications

• Active Substance Abuse Counseling (LCAS) in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 1 year experience providing substance use/behavioral health services to adolescents or young adults.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site individual and group counseling to enrolled students.
• Develop and deliver prevention and education programming for alcohol, drugs, and tobacco.
• Engage with students in residential and common areas.
• Collaborate with program leadership and interdisciplinary staff.
• Support student development, coping skills, decision-making, and relapse prevention.
• Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed.
• Create and manage individualized case plans to improve retention and wellness.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with HIPAA.
