Job summary

American States Utility Services, Inc. seeks an entry-level water/wastewater technician to support maintenance, inspections, and operations on military installations in the U.S. The role involves reading meters, coordinating repairs, and ensuring safety practices are followed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Good communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to operate a laptop, tablet, and smartphone.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License.
• CDL may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform water and wastewater system maintenance including water quality and supply.
• Inspect, install, repair, replace, test and certify water mains, meters, hydrants, and backflow devices.
• Inspect sewer lines, laterals, manholes, and operate video equipment to identify deficiencies.
• Inspect lift stations; monitor SCADA alarms and pump conditions.
• Respond to service orders and mark infrastructure locations.
• Provide professional customer support and interact with the public.
• Learn safety practices for materials used in operations and chemical handling.
• Complete work orders and related paperwork; may perform sampling.
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency responses.
