Job summary

American States Utility Services, Inc. seeks a maintenance technician to repair and maintain water and wastewater systems on military installations. You will perform preventive maintenance, operate tools, monitor SCADA equipment, and ensure safe, reliable operation.

The role includes upkeep of facilities, logs, and equipment, with standby and overtime as needed. The position emphasizes safety, compliance with federal/state rules, and teamwork with site superintendents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Electrical schooling/training preferred.
• Ability to obtain state certifications within 12–36 months.
• Must pass OSHA safety training.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools to repair and maintain water and wastewater systems.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Monitor pumps, controllers and SCADA equipment.
• Inspect electrical and mechanical systems and maintain CMMS records.
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain designated shop areas.
• Standby and overtime may be required.
