Job summary

Jefferson County is seeking a Fairgrounds Services Specialist to maintain venue facilities year-round and manage events. This on-site role includes preventive maintenance, custodial duties, and safeguarding County assets while ensuring customer satisfaction and documenting compensation for materials and services.

The position is full-time (40 hours weekly) with shifts 7:00 am–3:30 pm. Two schedules exist: Sat-Wed and Wed-Sun, with some weekends, evenings, and occasional holidays required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience: One (1) year of work-related experience.
• Ability to adjust work schedule to operational needs, including holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee event management and solve public safety concerns.
• Perform custodial and housekeeping duties and protect County assets.
• Manage maintenance projects and preventative site maintenance.
• Snow removal from parking lots and sidewalks to ensure safety.
• Must be available to work weekends.
