Jefferson County is seeking a Resident Parks & Facilities Technician I to perform event setup, custodial tasks, and routine maintenance at Boettcher Mansion and Lookout Mountain Nature Center. This on-site role requires living in the Carriage House Apartment and working 40 hours weekly, Wednesday through Sunday, with possible schedule adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare locations for events and set up equipment.
• Answer visitor questions and explain park rules and resources.
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for maintenance and repairs.
• Custodian duties: cleaning restrooms, restocking supplies, cleaning grills, and picking up litter.
• Perform routine maintenance and seasonal tasks such as snow removal.
• Maintain records of maintenance work and repairs performed.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate as needed.
• Operate tools and vehicles and assist with inspections.
• Maintain landscaping, fencing, and storm water drainage as needed.
