Job summary

Intertek in Grenada, MS is seeking a 3rd Party Vendor Surveillance Inspector to join our Technical Inspection Services team. You will serve as on-site quality authority to ensure modular mechanical systems, piping, and structural assemblies meet design and code requirements prior to shipment.

The role offers a temporary, full-time schedule of 40–50 hours weekly, with a 5pm to 3am shift. You will inspect, log defects, sign off on quality gates, and collaborate with production and quality teams to

Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on quality inspection experience in industrial mechanical systems, structural fabrication, or HVAC facilities.
Familiarity with ISO 9001, ITPs, and basic root-cause/containment concepts (8D/5-Why).

Responsibilities

Site Quality Inspections: perform in-process and final inspections, hold points, weld checks, hydrostatic tests, and pre-shipment checks per ITPs.
Defect Logging & Traceability: document non-conformances with photos and documentation to drive accountability.
Hold-Point & Quality Gate Oversight: audit sign-offs on critical quality gates including NDT reviews and pre-shipment checklists.
Foster Collaborative Quality Culture: partner with production and quality teams to ensure compliance with design specs and QA plans.
