Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Third Party Vendor Surveillance Inspector in Massachusetts to perform visual inspections of vendor shops or on-site facilities. The role requires expertise in quality control inspections, NDT, mechanical testing, and coating inspections, with travel up to 50% across the continental US.

The successful candidate will document inspection activities, review testing against client specs, and ensure adherence to ITPs and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or trade/ university training.
• Experience in third-party vendor inspection, expediting or auditing.
• Knowledge of NDT, blueprint reading, coatings and welding.
• Understanding of procurement and fabrication processes in oil and gas.
• Ability to travel frequently throughout the continental US.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections or audits and reviewing testing for conformance to Client specifications, standards and procedures.
• Review material test reports for conformance with codes and standards.
• Follow up on dispositions and corrective actions for non-conformances.
• Document inspection activities electronically.
• Ensure project quality procedures are followed by all stakeholders.
• Review Inspection & Testing Plans to ensure standardized surveillance per contract.
