Job summary

Intertek USA is seeking a Third Party Vendor Surveillance Inspector (Pressure Vessel & Fabricated Piping) to join our Technical Inspection Services team in Charlotte, NC. This is a temporary, full-time position offering 40–50 hours per week for six months and frequent travel throughout the continental US.

You will perform visual inspections of fabricated equipment, review test reports for code compliance, document findings electronically, and support corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of third-party vendor inspection, expediting or auditing experience
• Experience in quality control inspections and tests including nondestructive testing techniques
• Must understand codes and specifications for the oil and gas industry
• Ability to travel frequently throughout the continental US
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections or audits and report results per client specifications and procedures
• Review material test reports for conformance with codes and standards
• Follow up on dispositions and corrective actions related to non-conformances
• Document inspection activities in electronic formats
• Ensure project quality procedures are followed across engineering, procurement and manufacturing
• Review Inspection & Testing Plans to identify required witnessed inspections
• Carry out inspections in person or through 3rd-party resources
