Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Part Time Adhoc Quality Inspector in Olympia, WA, to perform visual inspections of materials and equipment at vendor shops or on-site facilities.

The role requires knowledge of quality control inspections, nondestructive testing, mechanical testing, dimensional inspection, pressure testing and coating inspections, with at least 5 years in third-party inspection and a travel-heavy schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of third-party vendor inspection, expediting or auditing experience.
• Experience in quality control inspections and tests including nondestructive testing, mechanical testing, dimensional inspection, pressure testing and coating inspections.
• Technical training in quality, NDT, blueprint reading, auditing, expediting, materials, welding, coatings, electrical components, instrumentation, pressure testing, well control, equipment operation and assembly.
• Must have basic knowledge of material properties.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections or audits and review testing for conformance to Client specifications and reporting of results.
• Review material test reports for conformance with applicable codes and standards.
• Follow up on dispositions and corrective actions related to non-conformances.
• Document inspection activities in electronic formats.
• Evaluate project quality procedures and ensure adherence by engineering, procurement, manufacturing teams.
• Review Inspection & Testing Plans to ensure standardized surveillance per contractual requirements.
• Carry out inspection visits as per ITPs personally or via 3rd-party resources.
