Job summary

Intertek's Technical Inspection Services team in Manitowoc, WI seeks a 3rd Party Vendor Surveillance Inspector to join our on-site quality assurance efforts at a supplier facility. This temporary, full-time role will oversee in-process and final inspections, logging NCRs, and ensuring generator enclosures meet structural, mechanical, and electrical standards using BIM360, ACC, and CxAlloy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on quality inspection in industrial manufacturing.
• Ability to read SLDs, P&IDs, and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of structural welding standards (AWS D1.1/ISO 9606/BS EN).
• Strong LV/MV electrical distribution knowledge and testing.
• Experience using digital inspection tools on tablets/laptops.

Responsibilities

• Perform site quality inspections and track deficiencies.
• Execute quality protocols for in-process and final checks.
• Log non-conformances with photos in BIM360/ACC/CxAlloy.
• Collaborate with supplier quality managers to drive NCR closures.
• Verify enclosure structural/mechanical criteria per specs.
• Witness hydrostatic/pneumatic tests and Megger checks.
• Check CTQ envelope dimensions with laser measurements.
• Audit LV/MV electrical systems and grounding.
• Observe load bank testing and control sequence validation.
• Perform FOD checks and sign-off before dispatch.
