Job summary

Zions Bancorporation in Houston, TX is seeking a Commercial Vault Teller to work on-site. The role focuses on vault cash maintenance, security, and processing deposits for commercial customers, with a schedule of 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and 6+ months cash-handling experience; ability to lift 50 lbs; basic banking and math knowledge; and proficiency with Microsoft Office and 10-key.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent with 6+ months cash handling experience.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling and strapping of currency.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Basic knowledge of banking, math, balancing, debits, and credits.
• Ability to count money and balance transactions accurately.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and 10 key.

Responsibilities

• Maintain records of cash received and disbursed.
• Prepare vault cash orders and verify cash received.
• Ensure and maintain appropriate security and control of cash and other negotiables.
• Recordkeeping for all cash handling and vault risk activities.
• Prepare vault cash balances and reports of overages and shortages.
• Replenish tellers' cash requirements.
• Recordkeeping related to safekeeping items and travelers checks.
