Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking a Team Lead for on-site Utilization Management to oversee UM RNs and coordinate care across acute, chronic, and long-term stages. You will lead daily operations, training, and mentoring of staff, ensuring alignment with MCG/InterQual criteria and hospital throughput goals.

The role emphasizes hands-on collaboration with physicians, providers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care, ensure compliant documentation, and support performance improvement

Qualifications

• RN license in Georgia required.
• Leadership and team supervision experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Utilization Management processes and criteria.

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing and daily work distribution.
• Coach staff and supervise performance.
• Lead QA & PI activities within UM.
• Participate in interviewing new staff and orientation.
• Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize throughput.
