Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an experienced Team Leader for On-site Utilization Management (UM) to oversee a staff of UM RNs. The role focuses on coordination across the continuum, medical necessity determinations, and real-time collaboration with clinicians to optimize throughput, length of stay, and reimbursement accuracy.

You will train and supervise UM staff, uphold Georgia Nursing Practice standards, and serve as a liaison between the clinical floor and administration.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Georgia
• On-site UM experience preferred
• Lead, train and supervise UM staff

Responsibilities

• Oversee staffing and daily work distribution for UM team
• Coordinate care with Manager, Director and other Healthcare Team Leaders
• Mentor and evaluate staff performance and competency
• Lead training and orientation for new UM staff
• Ensure timely and accurate certification of hospital admission
• Act as SME for Utilization Review and Epic usage
