Job summary

Vesuvius USA, a global leader in molten metal flow engineering, seeks a Tundish Technician for a mobile role based around Calvert or Mobile, Alabama. This on-site position partners with the regional Sales team to be the local contact for customers.

Responsibilities include supporting installation, configuration, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, reporting, and identifying upgrade opportunities. Requires Associate's Degree and readiness to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering technologies, industrial, mechanical, or electro-mechanical.
• Strong background in mechanics, electronics, and modest networking.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, PID, and electrical schematics.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work on production floor in a steel mill.

Responsibilities

• Support installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance to achieve 95% uptime.
• Use test equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Identify opportunities for system upgrades and new systems sales.
• Provide timely feedback to customer service requests.
• Communicate maintenance results clearly to the team.
