Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Candidate may be required to travel for equipment setup.
  • Strong welding and metal fabrication skills.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites as needed.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Manage fabrication, assembly, wiring, testing and quality assurance of various types of application equipment utilized in the refractory industry. Equipment types include material handling and application systems such as pneumatic conveyors, dry powder screw feed hoppers, robotics, automated systems, mixers, pumping devices, combustion systems.
  • Installation and setup of equipment ensuring it is properly configured and calibrated for its intended application.
  • Troubleshooting when equipment malfunctions or experiences issues. Diagnose problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions to get the equipment back to working condition.
  • Ensuring that equipment is capable of delivering accurate and consistent results.
  • Remain up‑to‑date with relevant regulations, standards, and compliance requirements in the refractories field to ensure equipment adheres to these guidelines.
  • Maintain records of equipment maintenance, repair history, and any changes made to the equipment. This documentation is essential for tracking performance and ensuring compliance.
  • Equipment Upgrades and Optimization: As technology evolves, specialists may be involved in evaluating and implementing equipment upgrades and optimizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Track equipment inventory, order replacement parts, and manage the procurement of new equipment.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect all users.
Qualifications
  • Strong welding and metal fabrication skills
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical and pneumatic control circuits, AC and DC voltages.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of mechanical drive components
  • Strong mechanical and electrical machine assembly skills
  • Must be able to read and understand mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Must have the ability to identify, solve and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
  • Cand­iate must have experience working with proper hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments to complete the required assignment.
  • Good communication skills and computer literacy required. Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills along with good multi‑tasking abilities
  • Cand­iate may be required to travel to various customer accounts where equipment is located per sales or customer requests

Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technologies with 2+ years’ experience.
