Job summary
Vesuvius USA is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead engineering and management of projects involving automation for Flow Control systems in the steelmaking market. The role combines in-office design, PLC/HMI programming, documentation, and on-site commissioning at customer facilities.
You will work with sales and R&D, troubleshoot, support customers, and contribute to CCAR planning, safety, and project reporting.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience: BS preferably in Electrical and/or Control Systems.
- Experience in automation engineering or steelmaking industry preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities; able to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Automation/Electrical Engineering project planning.
- PLC and HMI programming for controls and interfaces.
- Equipment testing and on-site commissioning of systems.
- Technical writing and documentation for installations.
- Assistance to Sales Team and R&D.
- Troubleshooting at customer locations and in-office as needed.
