Job summary

Vesuvius seeks a Tundish Technician to support robotics and material applications, based in Calvert or Mobile, Alabama. You will partner with the Sales team, acting as the local customer contact and strengthening field service delivery to maximize uptime and value.

The role requires an Associate's degree in engineering technologies or related fields, strong mechanical/electrical skills, the ability to read drawings and schematics, and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in engineering technologies, industrial, mechanical or electro-mechanical fields.
• Strong technical background in mechanics, electronics and modest networking.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, PID and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Support/drive installation, configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment to achieve 95% uptime.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Perform preventive and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment.
• Identify opportunities for system upgrades and new system sales.
• Provide timely feedback and support to customer service requests.
• Communicate maintenance results clearly with the team.
