Job summary

Vesuvius is seeking an Automation Engineer to engineer and manage automation projects for Flow Control systems in the steelmaking market. The role involves PLC/HMI programming, testing, and producing documentation, both in-office and on customer sites.

Responsibilities include commissioning, troubleshooting, and direct customer interaction, with support for R&D and after-sales tasks. The position requires strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork, with potential growth into management.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent experience: BS preferably in Electrical and/or Control Systems.
Experience in Automation Engineering and/or Steelmaking Industry preferred but not required.
Work experience preferred in positions requiring computer skills, responsibility, problem solving.
Knowledge of ISO9000 standards and safety practices.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Engineering and management of automation projects for Vesuvius Flow Control systems.
On-site commissioning and troubleshooting at customer locations.
Program PLC/HMI and develop project documentation.
Provide technical support to R&D and customers.
