Job summary

WSP is seeking an Intermediate Transmission Line Design Engineer to support major utility and energy clients on high-impact power and infrastructure projects. You will help lead transmission line design efforts, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and deliver constructible solutions that meet critical energy needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 1+ years post-education experience in Transmission Line Design (HVAC up to 115 kV).
• Knowledge of NESC, AISC, IEEE and ANSI codes/standards.
• Experience with PLS-CADD, MFAD, LPILE, AutoCAD, MicroStation; PSCAD a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review/design transmission line plans and profiles using PLSCADD to comply with client standards and NESC/others.
• Provide structure recommendations and line design details.
• Lead overall transmission line design for capital projects.
• Plan routing and strategy, including right-of-way decisions and congestion considerations.
• Coordinate interfaces with other engineering disciplines and support Project Engineer.
• Develop technical specifications, QA/QC procedures, and deliverable templates.
