Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Test Engineer to support the NSWCDD Dahlgren, VA program. The role focuses on designing and maintaining automated test scripts and test plans aligned with requirements, plus executing manual and automated tests across multiple levels.

The position requires 2+ years in software/systems testing, Linux proficiency, and experience with DOORS, Jira, Azure DevOps, and Git. On-site work and U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running/writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code.
• Experience using Linux systems.
• Proven analytical ability to identify, document, and resolve complex software issues.
• Experience linking requirements to test cases and managing test artifacts.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, and system-level).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify, document, and track software defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in Agile Sprint meetings and CCB activities.
• Interface professionally with government customers daily.
