Job summary

Peraton is seeking an experienced VMware and Windows Server Administrator to provide operational support for the customer’s enterprise environment. This role covers daily operational and project support for Windows Server and VMware infrastructure.

Position is 8-5 ET and requires participating in a 24/7 on-call schedule, with US Citizenship and ability to obtain the required agency clearance. The role emphasizes strong documentation, collaboration, and proactive troubleshooting across teams.

Qualifications

8 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 12 with a HS diploma.
Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and Windows Server OS.
Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
Ability to create technical documentation.
Strong cross-functional troubleshooting and communication skills.
US Citizenship and ability to obtain clearance.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, recommend, and implement changes to existing technologies and new technologies relevant to meeting the strategic and tactical plans of the organization.
Maintain virtualization infrastructure including provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, automation, and maintenance of systems, hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
Maintain stability of environment by performing regularly scheduled maintenance (hardware/software) patching and upgrades.
Responsible for compliance of all assigned hardware, equipment, and configurations
