Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing Company’s 2J Supply unit in Dayton, OH is seeking an HR Generalist for an on-site role. You will manage recruitment, onboarding, benefits, LMS administration, and employee relations while coordinating with leadership across multiple businesses.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in HR or related, 3+ years of HR Generalist experience, and proficiency with HRIS/LMS. Travel and flexible hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 3+ years of HR Generalist experience.
• Experience with HRIS and LMS, preferably MyCompass and UKG.
• Proficient MS Office suite.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities quickly.
• Ability to work with a variety of people and handle difficult situations professionally.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail.
• Ability to work well in a matrix team environment.
• Strong time management, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Goal-driven and self-motivated.
• Willingness to flex hours and travel ~20-30%.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate HR files, records, and documentation.
• Serve as liaison between employees and leaders across multiple businesses.
• Communicate HR policies, procedures, and laws; support HR Manager and leaders with employee relations issues.
• Maintain driver files incl. MVRs, random drug screens, licenses, and medical cards.
• Lead hourly recruitment process: job descriptions, candidate reviews, interviews, offers.
• Coordinate onboarding and training, complete orientations.
• Assist with benefits administration including leaves and enrollment events.
• Support training and LMS administration; manage learning records.
• Support talent initiatives like compensation, performance, career development, succession.
• Collaborate with Marketing on employee engagement, events, and recognition.
• Plan branch activities with leadership, drive changes from Rheem Air Distribution.
• Communicate HR updates across platforms; propose policy improvements.
• Uphold confidentiality of HR data; perform other duties as needed.
