Job summary

Energy Resilience Partners, LLC (ERP) is hiring an on-site SSHO to lead the project safety and occupational health program for Fort Buchanan, Puerto Rico. The role ensures compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and local requirements, with stop-work authority.

Responsibilities include developing safety plans, conducting site inspections, managing records, and enforcing PPE and hazard controls across complex construction activities, including potential BESS integration and medium-voltage work.

Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification and current First Aid/CPR/AED.
• College degree + 5 years of safety experience on similar projects.
• At least 120 hours of safety coursework completed in past 4 years.
• Training in PPE, hazard communication, excavation, scaffolding, fall protection, hazardous energy, confined spaces, health-hazard recognition and control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the Accident Prevention Plan, safety plans, and Activity Hazard Analyses for each feature of work.
• Conduct daily site inspections, indoctrination for workers and visitors, safety meetings, and mishap investigations.
• Enforce PPE, excavation, scaffolding, fall protection, hazardous energy controls, and emergency response.
• Participate in QC meetings and integrate safety controls with upcoming work.
• Maintain OSHA records, deficiency tracking, training records, permits, and daily safety reports attached to CQC reports.
• Verify subcontractor compliance and stop work when safety is compromised.
