Job summary

Aleut Federal is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to plan, manage, and support ES&H for assigned projects. You will act as the on-site safety lead, ensuring compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA 29 CFR 1926, and client requirements while coordinating with project leadership and regulatory agencies.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field, OSHA 30, and 5+ years of construction safety experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Health & Safety or similar field.
• Current OSHA 30-hour General Industry Safety Training.
• Valid First Aid and CPR.
• Minimum five years of construction/general safety experience.
• Preferred certifications: COSS, ASP, CSP or OHST.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review, and enforcement of safety programs and AHAs.
• Monitor daily safety practices and enforce corrective actions on site.
• Conduct weekly toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, ES&H Manager, and regulators as required.
• Prepare safety documentation and incident/ audit reports.
