Job summary

Aleut Federal, LLC is seeking a Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) to lead ES&H on assigned projects in Washington. You will enforce safety programs, manage AHAs, and coordinate with Project Managers and regulators to ensure compliance and safe operations.

The role requires seven to ten years in construction safety, OSHA EM 385, and strong communication skills. Onsite work with potential travel supports project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, construction, health & safety or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Current OSHA 30-hour General Industry Safety Training is required.
• EM 385-1 Training is required.
• Valid First Aid and CPR.
• Construction Quality Manager (CQM) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and ensure field-wide compliance.
• Enforce EM 385-1-1, OSHA regulations and applicable laws.
• Oversee safety programs for projects and supervise subcontractors.
• Act as site safety authority and interface with regulators and management.
• Lead development and review of AHAs; communicate risks to workers.
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings; provide training.
• Maintain safety documentation and incident reporting.
• Coordinate safety activities with project leadership and client reps.
