Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) for a full-time on-site role in Coyanosa, TX. The position begins as contingent with potential for permanent placement.

You will perform field maintenance and learn safe work practices in the solar industry, reporting to site supervision as part of a growing team. Responsibilities include servicing solar equipment at various plants, basic testing and troubleshooting, on-call availability, and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical and electrical background from training or work.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Basic knowledge of solar installation/plant.
• Familiarity with testing equipment.
• Strong verbal and written English communication.
• Good organizational skills and reliability.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and work on call.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and enforce safe work practices on site.
• Operate and care for company equipment, tools, and gear.
• Service solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision.
• Conduct basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair solar components as directed.
• Respond to on-call emergencies as needed.
• Document work performed accurately and timely.
• Assist in process improvements with EPC management.
