Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Sharps Technician to responsibly place, collect, and transport reusable sharps and medical waste containers across healthcare facilities. You will maintain schedules, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver excellent service to hospital staff and waste generators.

The role supports training, uniforms, comprehensive health benefits, tuition reimbursement, PTO after 90 days, and a Stay-On bonus, offering a stable path in an essential industry.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong communication and customer service abilities in diverse healthcare settings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to lift 25–40 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Travel between and within healthcare facilities to service reusable Sharp Medical Waste containers.
• Collect and transport pharmaceutical waste to designated areas within the facility.
• Maintain a strict service and collection schedule with timely updates to status.
• Build and maintain customer relationships and resolve service concerns.
• Ensure safe, compliant handling of medical and pharmaceutical waste.
