Job summary

Sharps Medical Waste Services is seeking a Sharps Technician to provide on-site placement, collection, and transport of reusable sharps and pharmaceutical waste across assigned healthcare facilities. You will maintain schedules, ensure compliant handling, and deliver exceptional service to hospital staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse healthcare settings.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physical ability to lift 25–75 lbs and move carts.

Responsibilities

• Travel between and within healthcare facilities to place, collect, and service sharps containers.
• Collect and transport pharmaceutical waste to designated areas within the facility.
• Maintain a strict service schedule for timely support.
• Communicate duty status and service updates on a defined schedule.
• Build strong customer relationships and proactively resolve service concerns.
• Ensure safe, compliant handling of medical waste in patient areas.
• Operate independently with minimal supervision.
• Document activities and follow all procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
