Job summary

Civil and Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is seeking a Service Desk Analyst to join our Pittsburgh, PA team. This foundational role is ideal for an early IT professional eager to learn and grow, delivering friendly, first-tier support for hardware, software, and peripherals.

The analyst reports to the IT Director and provides on-site support across CEC offices, with opportunities to participate in after-hours and incident response activities while building a solid technical foundation.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred; equivalent training or experience may be substituted.
• 0–3 years of help desk/desktop support or customer-facing IT experience encouraged to apply.
• Working knowledge of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 applications; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for technical support via phone, email, and in-person requests; diagnose and resolve Tier 1 issues.
• Log and track incidents in the IT ticketing system; escalate when needed following procedures.
• Assist with after-hours support, maintenance, and incident response activities.
• Support conference room and AV setups and help onboard new employees with equipment.
