Job summary

Symbiotic Services is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant in Lehi, UT to support the Accounting and Finance team. The role focuses on revenue recognition, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, budgeting, and GAAP compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accrual accounting principles.
• High-level analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flows.
• Lead the month-end close process for multiple divisions.
• Reconcile all accounts to the General Ledger accurately and timely.
• Maintain supporting documentation and adjustGL entries as needed.
• Assist with inventory reconciliations and month-end inventory processes.
• Track and report daily/weekly cash activities and validate Treasury reports.
• Maintain fixed asset records and manage acquisitions/disposals.
• Prepare business personal property tax and sales tax filings across jurisdictions.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and payroll tax journal entries with HR.
• Support accounting for farm operations and collections; ensure policy compliance.
