Job summary

Aptiv seeks an experienced HR Manager to lead daily HR operations for the Engineered Cables production team in California. You will drive talent acquisition, onboarding, training, performance management, succession planning, LOA, benefits, compensation, and payroll compliance while maintaining ITAR and QMS standards.

The role reports to the HRBP and requires strong California wage-hour expertise, vendor coordination, and developing leaders to support a high‑performing manufacturing workforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5-7 years of progressive HR experience with leadership responsibility in manufacturing.
• Experience managing complex employee relations in a fast-paced production workforce.
• U.S. Person (Citizen or PR) due to ITAR regulations.
• Strong knowledge of California wage & hour laws and employment regulations.
• AS9100/ISO9100 experience preferred (training, competency, awareness programs).
• Bilingual in Vietnamese or Spanish to support the workforce.
• HRIS tools: BambooHR/Paycom/ADP; proficient in Google Workspace.
• HR certifications (PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR partner for the Production team and uphold Aptiv culture.
• Manage employee relations, investigations, and provide guidance to staff and leadership.
• Oversee day-to-day HR operations: TA, onboarding, training, performance management, succession planning, LOA, benefits, compensation, offboarding, payroll, and compliance.
• Collaborate with Production leadership to implement HR policies and improve development and efficiency.
• Plan and execute talent acquisition strategy to maintain uninterrupted production.
