Job summary

Aptiv Interconnect is hiring a Production Lead to guide a team of assemblers on the manufacturing floor. You will coordinate daily workflows, mentor staff, and serve as the frontline technical expert ensuring adherence to 'zero-defect' AS9100 quality standards and ITAR regulations.

You will partner with the Production Supervisor to deliver on-time production, lead daily huddles, and drive Lean improvements while maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5-7+ years in complex cable harness assembly in aerospace/defense/high-reliability environments.
• 1-2+ years in leadership roles (senior assembler, trainer, or cell lead).
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and instructions.
• Certifications: J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of assemblers with focus on safety, quality, and accountability.
• Coordinate daily workflow and assign tasks based on production schedule and skills.
• Provide frontline technical expertise and problem-solving for drawings and procedures.
• Ensure real-time compliance with AS9100 quality standards and ITAR regulations.
• Enforce FOD prevention and 5S standards in the work area.
• Lead start-to-finish assembly on NPI or critical high-priority jobs as needed.
• Collaborate with Production Supervisor to execute daily production plan and ensure on-time delivery.
• Act as liaison between team and Quality, Engineering, and Materials.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

AS degree is a plus
