Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Senior-Level Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team on-site at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. The role requires an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and U.S.

citizenship. You will develop cybersecurity requirements and lead strategies to address evolving threats in naval combat systems. The position emphasizes DoD IA policy knowledge, risk assessment, and security engineering across multiple classification levels.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years program specific security engineering experience with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems or ten (10) years general security engineering experience.
• Minimum certification as IAT Level II or higher per DoD 8570.01, or successor.
• Privileged users must complete OS/CE training within six months and hold JPAS IT level-1 designation.
• Understanding of DoD IA policies for Land Based and afloat/tactical systems; ability to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop cybersecurity requirements, policy standards, and guidance for combat systems.
• Conduct cybersecurity research and coordination for DoD cyber efforts across classifications.
• Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies against emerging threats.
• Perform cybersecurity system engineering design, analysis, and documentation for combat systems.
• Develop risk assessment analyses and mitigation plans for combat systems.
• Create documentation of cybersecurity requirements, gap analyses, and threat analyses.
• Develop or use MBSE models to perform cybersecurity analysis.
