Job summary

MARS Builder Solutions is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist for our Escondido, CA office. This role manages the full order-to-cash cycle, billing, collections, and customer accounts in a fast-paced construction environment.

On-site position requiring close collaboration with operations, project managers, and leadership to ensure timely revenue capture and accurate reporting. Ideal candidates have 5+ years AR experience, strong Excel and NetSuite skills, and knowledge of AIA,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of accounts receivable experience.
• Strong invoicing, cash application, collections, and reconciliations.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume aging portfolio.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate invoices in NetSuite based on completed work and milestones.
• Prepare progress billings and AIA-style pay applications.
• Track retention balances and releases.
• Validate billing against contracts and agreements.
• Submit invoices through portals with all supporting docs.
• Manage aging and collections for builders and customers.
• Conduct proactive collection calls and emails.
• Escalate delinquent accounts to leadership.
• Prepare California notices and lien waivers; maintain notes in NetSuite.
• Participate in AR review meetings; maintain customer records.
• Assist with AR procedures documentation.
