Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Service Technician - Embedded to act as the dedicated on-site resource for a client location. You will perform service, maintenance, repair, diagnostics and support for access control, video surveillance, intrusion, and related electronic security systems.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years in the field, and 2+ years in enterprise‑level access control/video management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years field experience in electronic security.
• Minimum 2 years servicing enterprise‑level access control & video management systems.
• Possession of state licensing or ability to obtain license.
• Excellent computer skills across multiple systems and ticketing platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, electronic & networked security systems.
• Willingness to on‑call rotations and to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair for access control and video systems.
• Respond to service requests and outages, meeting established SLAs.
• Troubleshoot installation issues to ensure compliance with codes and safety policies.
• Support system upgrades, firmware patches, and equipment replacements.
• Assist with system commissioning, device programming, and configuration changes.
• Document service issues in ServiceNow and track progress.
• Interpret electrical schematics for low‑voltage applications.
