Job summary

The Trinity River Authority of Texas is seeking a Security Maintenance Technician for the Dallas–Fort Worth area. This full-time on-site role maintains access control, cameras, alarms, and monitoring equipment to ensure continuous operation.

You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair systems, document work, and coordinate with operations, security, and facilities teams to minimize downtime and maintain safety and compliance. Some after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or electronics preferred.
• Experience with maintenance, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of security systems.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals and work orders.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Dallas–Fort Worth and occasional after-hours assignments.
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and corrective maintenance on security systems (access control, cameras, alarms, monitoring).
• Schedule preventive maintenance and document work performed.
• Coordinate with operations, security, and facilities teams to minimize downtime.
• Assist with system upgrades, installations, and testing per procedures.
