Wolfoods is seeking an experienced Assistant Kitchen Manager for a hands-on leadership role at a rural summer camp. You will oversee prep and production, manage staff, and ensure allergen safety in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

The position is on-site, live-in, with a demanding 6-day/70-hour work week and opportunities to lead a dynamic camp dining team. Room and board are provided for the contract duration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a commercial kitchen leadership role with scratch and institutional/batch cooking experience.
• ServSafe Allergens certification required before start date; company-sponsored.
• Strong leadership and cooking skills; able to navigate iPad; versatile with ingredients; identify all Big 9 Allergens; sharp problem-solving abilities.
• Stand for long periods, work in hot/cold kitchen, lift up to 50 lbs.
• Live on-site in rustic setting; 6-day/70-hour weeks; thrive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a high-energy environment.
• Oversee all prep, production, and service for designated day part.
• Manage allergen safety protocols and Health Department standards.
• Handle inventory and assist with daily reporting.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen staff, campers, and camp leadership.
